Jumanji 4 is reportedly underway regardless of the lead actors’ incredibly hectic schedule.
The production timeline of the hit franchise has apparently been set, to our surprise especially with Kevin Hart and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson being busy with other projects.
Hiram Garcia, producer hinted that the third instalment of the newer series and fourth film of the whole franchise could be hitting screens much sooner than first anticipated.
The fourth movie was predicted to land soon after Jumanji: The Next Level, which was released back in 2019, however, the pandemic halted their plans.
The stars then went to work on other projects, with Jack Black in Happily, Karen Gillian in Gunpowder Milkshake and Kevin Hart in Fatherhood.
Hiram Garcia spoke with Comicbook saying the pitch for Jumanji 4 is not just ‘really fun’, the team is “actually getting ready to take it to Sony to let them hear what [they’ve] been cooking up”.
Jumanji isn’t the only film Garcia and Dwayne Johnson have worked on, there’s also Red Notice which came out on Netflix on the 12th of November.

He shared:
“We’ve got a big vision for [the next Jumanji] movie. So we’re fired up for that. We’re taking it in soon. And obviously, the goal is sometime after… Jake [Kasdan] is doing Red One for us, so that is going to be next up.
But sometime after Red One comes out, Jumanji is going to be on deck. I feel like we’ll have everything ready by then and we’ll be able to get into that third instalment.”
The cast for the latest Jumanji movie has also been shared with the likes of Donald Glover and Danny DeVito joining the start filled line-up.
‘It’s going to be good, man. It’s fun, and it’s smart. It’s a really smart take,’ Garcia said.
Jake Kasdan a filmmaker who worked on Red One before the fourth Jumanji film has been ‘spearheading’ the project and Garcia noted how ‘brilliant’ he’s been.
