Fans Of Harry Styles ‘Ran For Their Lives’ After Gunman Opens Fire

Harry Styles concert goers ‘ran for their lives’ after a gunman opened fire next to the arena he was performing at in Copenhagen.

The ‘Late Night Talking’ singer aged 28 was set to perform at the Royal Arena venue on his Love On Tour show in the city when a gunman fatally shot three people and left four in intensive care in hospital.

Hundreds of former One Direction fans were patiently waiting in the shopping mall which was just a few steps away from the venue when the shooting happened.

As expected the show was cancelled after news of the event landed which happened around 5:30 pm local time.

Harry took to Twitter to share his feelings about the shooting saying; “I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love.

“I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H.”

Fans soon started replying with their heartbreaking stories of the event with one fan recalling how they ‘ran for their lives’ after hearing gunshots.

Replies read, “Just got to our temporary hotel room.. we have no luggage, our hotel was right beside the mall and my mom and I were just across from the shooting… We ran for our lives today.”

“Tho this day prob has been the worst in my life it still brought us together. I was trapped in the hotel right beside the mall with a bunch of other fans and because of that it never felt like I was alone,”

“I was in the mall, we had just eaten and were heading to the arena when it started, He started [shooting] right at the restaurant we had just left. We were hiding in a ditch where he was arrested. I have never been so scared in my life. What should have been a happy night ended terribly.”

“This has been such a scary day I’m so sorry to everyone who was affected by this. Awful. In my hotel room feeling so panicky but happy to be safe. I’m here for anyone who needs anything. We’re in this together.”
