Monopoly Game in Brussels Ends in a Samurai Sword Fight

A game of Monopoly turned violent in the Forest area of Brussels. It started when a group of four played a board game on the pavement outside their home. According to reports, residents became annoyed and a man came out of his house, brandishing a stick and started arguing with the Monopoly players. The situation escalated when the resident’s son came out of the house armed with a Japanese samurai sword in its holster. The sword became exposed after the sheath was allegedly removed by one of the Monopoly players.

During the scuffle that ensued, the son and one of the Monopoly players were injured by the blade. The Brussels-Midi Police confirmed that both men were taken to the hospital and both were arrested. The Monopoly player was later discharged, but the resident’s son was reported to be in a life-threatening condition.

The street where the game was being played was left with large patches of blood and scattered Monopoly cards after the confrontation. This incident shows how seemingly harmless games can take a dangerous turn when tempers flare. It is important to remember that all forms of violence, whether physical or verbal, should be avoided at all costs. Also never combine Monopoly and Samurai Swords!
