The first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has just dropped. It’s the first ever teaser for the film scheduled to hit our cinemas on the 11th of November.
Wakanda Forever is a direct sequel to the first Black Panther which was released back in 2018. It comes following the tragic untimely death of the iconic lead actor Chadwick Boseman who passed away due to colon cancer aged 43.
Director Ryan Coogler will be returning following the massive success of the first movie which was the firm ever superhero movie to be nominated for an Oscar.
Following Boseman’s tragic passing, plans for the sequel were changed with the actor’s role of T’Challa not being recast.
The blockbuster has hit a fair few bumps in the road throughout its productions. They were finally able to get everything up and running in the middle of 2021 after Letitia Wright, one of the stars in the sequel suffered from an injury filming causing a surcease until she was able to return.
They finally managed to wrap up production in March this year and have released a trailer which is the first look into Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
As you can expect the follow-up is greatly anticipated after the success of the first film and it is the first Marvel Studios Oscar win after winning, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Original Score.
The first instalment made $1.347 billion at the box office which has made it the highest-earning solo superhero movie ever.
It’s safe to say the movie has A LOT to live up to and it still remains to be seen how they are going to deal with the loss of T’Challa.
How do you think they will?
