Leonid Stanislavskyi, the oldest tennis player in the world lived out his dream to play against the world-class Rafael Nadal.
In the UK when you reach 100 you receive a congratulations letter from the Queen but the surprise this 97-year-old is definitely one he won’t forget.
For over 50 years Leonid has competed in amateur tennis with the dream of hitting with the Spanish pro.
What was once just a dream which he thought would never come true became a reality after he met up with Nadal in Spain, at the Rafa Nadal Academy, they didn’t just have a catch-up, they also took to the court.

Stanislavskyi reminds us all it’s never too late to chase your dreams, and the picture of the two shows just how much that moment meant to him.
Since being shared online this moment has captured the heart of the internet amassing one million likes and thousands of comments, some of which say:
‘What an absolute legend’
‘He’s 97??? I struggle to get out of bed and I’m 22.’
’97 and he can still move like that?! That’s amazing.’
We have nothing but the utmost respect for Leonid, still active at 97, it truly is an impressive feat!
