You Won’t Believe The Real Ages of Stranger Things Actors

Stranger Things first aired on Netflix six years ago and it’s now one of the most popular series on the streaming platform. However, quite a lot has changed since its initial release.

The show is set back in the 80s and follows a group of school kids as they tackle supernatural beings in the fictional town of Hawkins.

The show premiered in 2016 and production was delayed just under three years due to COVID-19.

This delay has caused the actors to age around six years since the first season but is still made out to look like schoolchildren.

When the series first started out it the stars were only 12 but now they’re aged from 17 to 20.

Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) is 18 years old, Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) is 17 years old, Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) is 19 years old, Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson) is 19 years old, Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) is 20 years old and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Charles Sinclair) is 20. years old but they all play characters around 14 years old.

Nancy Wheeler is only around 18 but the actor Natalia Dyer is 25 and Charlie Heaton who plays Johnathon Byers is also around 18 but he’s a whole 10 years older.

Steve Harrington is around 19 after just leaving high school but actor Joe Keery turner 30 in April.

Unsurprisingly the actor’s ages haven’t gone unnoticed with fans on Twitter pointing it out.

While the age gap is significant you have to remember that around three years were added to the production due to lockdown.
