Foo Fighters have announced they will be cancelling upcoming tour dates after the tragic death of drummer, Taylor Hawkins.
The band confirmed this in a post on Twitter exclaiming with ‘great sadness’ they’re cancelling upcoming tour dates after Taylor was found dead in his hotel room just a few hours before they were due to go on stage on 25th March.

Their statement read, “It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins.
“We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together.
“With Love, Foo Fighters.”
The band issued a heartfelt update on 26th March that reads, “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins.
“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.”

They added that their thoughts and hearts go out to his wife, children and family and plead for their privacy in this very difficult time.
The exact cause of death is unknown but a toxicology test showed that Hawkins had marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and opioids among other substances.
