An autopsy carried out by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has determined the death of Jak Knight Big Mouth star was suicide.
The tragic passing of the 28-year-old was announced last Saturday (July 16) with The Hollywood reporter and a plethora of other news outlets sharing a statement released by Knight’s family.
The statement didn’t share the cause of his death.
The coroner’s report that was obtained by People Monday, July 18 and stated that Knight was found on an embankment in Los Angeles and his death has been ruled as suicide.
Playing DeVon in the Big Mouth series is what Knight was most known for which he also helped to produce and write the Netflix hit comedy.
His most recent work was co-creating and starring in Bust Down and he also travelled the world as a comic with a 30-minute Netflix special in 2018 as part of The Comedy Lineup series.
Since the tragic news of his death broke tributes from friends in the entertainment community have been flooding in.
Universal Television and Peacock released a joint statement saying, “We are devastated by the passing of Jak Knight. He was a brilliant comedian, visionary and artist and we were all lucky to experience his greatness. Our hearts are with Jak’s family, friends and community during this heartbreaking time.”

Ashley Ray fellow comedian wrote, “Whenever anyone would ask me who I thought was up next, who was the next Chappelle-level talent, I always said Jak Knight.
There are just so few comedians who don’t wanna hate other people, who just wanna understand other ppl and Jak Knight was one of them.”
