Back in 2019, a young lady called Carleigh Berryman started her Virtual Reality journey. She started her own VR company called, Viva Vita just before the rise of the COVID-19 virus.
She set out with one goal, to give the residents of senior communities that were no longer able to travel safely an escape. She fits goggle virtual reality headsets onto residents’ heads transporting them to the coast of Italy along with other experiences.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and the subsequent closure of many vital senior programs, Berryman and her team had to adapt, being forced to develop tech that is safe from COVID-19 and meets the protocols in place.
In 2021, she took Today along with her to Iona Senior Services in Washington, D.C. This is where Viva Vita virtual reality tours program is located and continues to help seniors travel around the world without having to leave their homes.
Their reactions say it all, it must be an incredibly rewarding job and we hope Viva Vita manage to expand and bring joy to more seniors throughout America and the rest of the world.

If you could give those who are unable to travel safely the chance to escape via virtual reality would you?
